Dr. Michael Bauerschmidt is the Founder and Medical Director of Deeper Healing Medical Wellness Center where people travel in from all over the country to receive unique cutting-edge treatments. Dr. B is a physician who has honed his skills over time to do deep medical detective work and create treatments and programs that work to heal the body naturally. Dr. Michael Bauerschmidt is a member and past President of the American College for the Advancement in Medicine (ACAM). He is a key opinion leader in Functional and Environmental Medicine, and recognized nationally as an expert in the treatment of complex diseases. Dr. Bauerschmidt received his Medical Degree from the Ohio State University, was residency trained in Family Practice, and board certified in Emergency Medicine. He also was certified in Chelation Therapy by ACAM and completed a year-long Fellowship in Environmental Medicine. Dr. Bauerschmidt has spent more than 22 years in Emergency Medicine, including Medical Director of Emergency Services at Imperial Point Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He received his MBA from the University of South Florida and his undergraduate (Cum Laude) from the University of Toledo. Stewart Trimble, MD
Dr. Stewart Trimble (center) is a seasoned internist with over two decades of experience dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care. Known for his expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of complex medical conditions, Dr. Trimble adopts a holistic approach to patient health, addressing not just symptoms but the root causes of ailments.
Dr. Trimble grew up in Macon, Georgia and was raised by a father who was a philosophy professor and a mother who was a school teacher with one older brother. The family was academically-focused and very passionate about the environment. The family was early adopters for recycling/composting, loved to garden and enjoyed spending their free time outside and often camping.
After completing his undergraduate degree in Math at Mercer University, Dr. Trimble began teaching students Environmental Education, including ecology, recycling and being responsible stewards of our natural world. In 1999, Dr. Trimble chose to go to back to his academic roots and began medical school at Mercer University, graduating with a Medical Degree in 2003 and became a board-certified internist. He went on to work as a hospitalist for numerous hospitals in Western NC for over a decade before opening a private practice in 2016 in Brevard, NC.
“Throughout my medical career I’ve been drawn to ways of thinking about and addressing chronic illnesses not traditionally taught in med school. These approaches now have names like “alternative, functional, integrative, holistic” that all share the approach of finding and correcting fundamental causes of chronic disease, minimizing the use of pharmaceuticals in favor of improving lifestyle, nutrition, emotional balance, and mitigating environmental toxins. I am a traditionally-trained physician who practiced traditional Western medicine since 2006, working within the confines and constraints of a system engineered by insurance. Over time, these constraints became frustrating enough that I began seeking other ways to help patients, which led to my discovery of Deeper Healing Medical Wellness Center. I decided to become certified in Environmental Medicine through EMEI Global and chose to do my clinical training with Dr. Bauerschmidt at Deeper Healing. I was so impressed by the work that they do, my faith in practicing medicine has been restored. Joining the Deeper Healing team is a dream come true… I am excited to practice medicine in this deeper way with the robust tools at the center offering the time and resources that everyone truly deserves.”
